Ikey Group sponsors the athlete Jon Salvador in the Marathon of the Sahara
Ikey Group supports Jon in his effort to achieve the first place in the marathon whose prize will be donated entirely to solidarity projects.
Jon Salvador and his partner Javi Conde run the Solidarity Marathons, impossible challenges in emblematic places, whose collection is given to solidarity causes.
They have distributed more than 200,000 euros to date.
Salvador broke five ribs two and a half months ago and shortly after receiving a medical discharge, he confirmed his participation in the Sahara marathon to be held on February 26.
The Marathon of the Sahara is an international sporting event of solidarity with the Saharawi people affected by the consequences of a conflict that is burying their hopes, generation after generation, in the refugee camps of Tindouf (Algeria). 42 years have gone by, 42 years of suffering without the international community being able to unblock the situation. Therefore, in 2001, this race was launched to prevent the Saharawi people from falling into oblivion.
The aim of the Marathon is to finance humanitarian aid projects and to raise awareness and mobilize the international community in the face of this international conflict.
